  18.      The _bbbb_eeee_eeee_pppp and _ffff_llll_aaaa_ssss_hhhh routines are used to signal the terminal user.  The
  19.      routine _bbbb_eeee_eeee_pppp sounds the audible alarm on the terminal, if possible; if
  20.      that is not possible, it flashes the screen (visible bell), if that is
  21.      possible.  The routine _ffff_llll_aaaa_ssss_hhhh flashes the screen, and if that is not
  22.      possible, sounds the audible signal.  If neither signal is possible,
  23.      nothing happens.  Nearly all terminals have an audible signal (bell or
  24.      beep), but only some can flash the screen.
